About Us

SharedSolar is a project of the Modi Research Group at the Earth Institute, Columbia University. The project is investigating the viability of low-cost, incremental power infrastructure providing affordable, grid-like electric services to remote, rural communities.

What We Do

We are designing and developing advanced metering and software systems, along with generation and storage optimizations for cost-effective, community-scale smartgrids.
